The last person I shared a bed with is Thom Kerr.
Thom is someone who shares.
This is important, sharing - the sharing of material possesions, ideas/information. The most important being the latter. It evolves society. The famous example of 'I can give a man a fish and feed him for a day, but I can teach a man to fish, and he can feed himself for the rest of his life.' Sharing implies an exchange, or multiple exchanges.
You could indeed share something one-way, like you can share your lunch with a homeless person, but sharing is fundamentally a community experience, a relationship building experience. Mutual benefit is implied. Thom let me hang out, watch TV, go on the net, and sleep in his bed alongside him. We would find laughs together, talk together about all sorts of topics, and I know that we both enjoyed each other's company.
I think the original question was possibly supposed to provoke an emotional response from the person answering it, positive or negative. At first, I thought of the last person I had a relationship with. The last time I had an opportunity to share a bed with her, I decided to sleep on the floor due to her being uncomfortable with my being there. I wanted to share, but I suppose she didn't want to. This helps prove that sharing can only be a mutual exchange, otherwise it perhaps needs a separate definition.
My newest bed is a double bed, and I've not shared it with anyone, though I am happy to try and share all I can.
